Circle BMW to Hold a BMW Drive for Team USA Event -Olympic Gold Medalist Caryn Davies will make an appearance at Circle BMW’s event-

EATONTOWN, N.J. (June 30, 2011) –

WHO: Circle BMW , one of the region’s leading BMW dealerships, today announced

WHAT: They will hold a BMW Drive BMW Drive Team USA for Team USA event featuring Olympic rower and two-time gold medalist Caryn Davies, to show their support for Team USA. For every qualified participant who test drives a vehicle at this event, BMW of North America will donate $10.00 to Team USA, up to a maximum donation of $200,000. Qualified participants will have the opportunity to test drive the all-new BMW 650i Convertible, the full line up of BMW models and get behind the wheel of the competition. As a special thank-you for attending, BMW will provide qualified test drive participants with a $1,000 allowance that can be used towards the purchase or lease of a new BMW. At the event, participants are also invited to cast their vote for one of three athletes to be supported by BMW on their journey to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games. DETAILS: BMW Group is the proud Official Mobility Partner of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). In the lead up to the London 2012 Olympic Games, BMW will apply its resources and technologies to advance the training and performance goals of the Olympic and Paralympic athletes of Team USA.

Circle BMW is pleased to welcome Ms. Davies and support Team USA. An accomplished athlete, Davies has set world records and earned numerous awards during her rowing career. In 1999, Davies made the junior national team and was part of the first-ever U.S. junior women’s crew to win a gold medal at the Junior Worlds in 2000. The following year, Davies entered Harvard University where she rowed for Radcliff for four years. Rowing on the national team for eight years, Davies has competed in five world championships, winning four gold medals. In 2002, she rowed in the women’s eight that won gold and the following year she competed in the non-Olympic women’s four, winning gold again. In 2003, she rowed in the varsity eight that won NCAA Championships. At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Davies was a member of the women’s eight that won silver. She returned to the Olympics in 2008 and won gold. Davies earned a degree in psychology from Harvard University in 2005 and is currently enrolled at Columbia Law School.
