McLean, VA --September 20, 2011: NADA University, the education and training arm of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), will hold an unprecedented week-long integrated seminar for dealership general managers and aspiring GMs, instructed by NADA U's Partner trainers focusing on their areas of expertise.

Scheduled for October 24-28, at NADA Headquarters in McLean, VA, the seminar -- General Manager Power Pack -- will cover primary operations of the dealership from the GM's perspective. GMs will learn how to most effectively oversee and lead change in each dealership area by gaining a clear understanding of what metrics to track, what questions to ask, the performance standards to expect, and much more.

"We're bringing in a collection of industry giants to make this the most information-packed seminar for general managers ever offered in one place," said Marilynn Youngs, senior director of NADA University. The seminar features NADA U Partner trainers and topic areas on the following schedule:

· Jeff Sacks, president of Jeff Sacks & Associates, Mon., Oct. 24, 1-5 pm - Will show GMs how to set the vision, build the culture and develop the staff for customer retention and stronger financial performance, with a focus on better teamwork and results tracking.

· Jeff Cowan, president of Jeff Cowan's Pro Talk, Inc, Tues., Oct. 25, 7:30 am-noon - Will demonstrate how to establish a selling system and winning culture in fixed operations, with a focus on presenting repair needs to the customer, improving customer satisfaction and retention, and impacting overall profitability.

· Jared Hamilton, founder and CEO of Drivingsales.com, Tues., Oct. 25, 1:30-5pm - Will explain how to maximize closing rates and gross profits using the internet and measurable social media strategies, incorporating proven tactics that are working for top-performing dealers.

· Grant Cardone, CEO of Cardone Training Technologies, Wed. Oct. 26, 7:30 am-noon - Will share his five-step selling process to shorten it and make it easier for the sales team to execute in today's world of fast-moving information and technologies, leading to better closing ratios and higher customer satisfaction.

· Ron Reahard, president, Reahard & Associates, Wed. Oct. 26, 1:30-5 pm - Will show how to conduct a seamless sales and F&I process to dramatically increase ROI in F&I by adding real value to the customer experience, with a focus on evaluating the repayment risk management and vehicle protection options for both in-person or online purchases.

· Alan Ram, president, ProActive Training Solutions, Thurs. Oct. 27, 7:30 am-noon - Will demonstrate how to increase both individual and dealership productivity through the use of the phone, internet and client-based management, highlighting processes that dealerships can implement to drive traffic immediately.

· Don Reed, CEO, DealerPro Training, Thurs. Oct. 27, 1:30-5 pm - Will guide GMs on how to develop a business plan for 100% service absorption, focusing on improving parts and labor margins, selling more service appointments, increasing hours sold per retail repair order and using a marketing planner to increase owner retention.

To conclude the week, Jim Dance, NADA U Academy guest instructor and president of Walter Strayer Company, on Fri. Oct. 28, 7:30 am-noon, will provide practical ideas for implementing the ideas and changes presented in the previous sessions, leading to a better ability to identify the critical areas to focus on, predict what drives employee behavior and how to navigate it more effectively, and create a winning strategy for implementing organizational change without disrupting productivity.
