Kia Enhances Certified Pre-Owned Program With Carfax Vehicle History Reports

IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 24, 2011 -- Kia Motors America, Inc. (KMA) today announced a major improvement to its Kia Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program. KMA, which distributes vehicles through its network of authorized independent Kia-brand dealers in the United States, has selected Carfax as its vehicle history provider of choice for Kia's CPO program. Consumers shopping for a Certified Pre-Owned Kia now can buy with greater confidence--every Certified Pre-Owned Kia vehicle comes with a free Carfax Vehicle History Report.

Starting October 1, Kia dealers participating in KMA's CPO Program are required to run a Carfax Vehicle History Report as part of the certification process for CPO vehicles. The Kia CPO Program is administered by one of the largest independent finance and insurance leaders, JM&A Group. A Carfax Report is provided for used Kia-brand vehicles eligible for CPO certification, which have less than 60,000 miles and are no more than five model years old. All Kia CPO vehicles pass a comprehensive 150-point inspection. Program benefits include a long-term 10-year/100,000 mile Kia CPO Program limited powertrain warranty(1) and 10-year, unlimited mileage roadside assistance.

The Carfax Buyback Guarantee also comes with CPO vehicles that meet the requirements of Kia's CPO Program certification process. This ensures each Certified Pre-Owned Kia vehicle is free of DMV-reported title brands or Carfax will buy the car back. Certain terms and conditions apply.
