AutoNation Announces October 2011 Retail New Vehicle Unit Sales

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--Nov. 3, 2011: AutoNation, Inc. , America's largest automotive retailer, today announced that its retail new vehicle unit sales in October 2011, as reported to the applicable automotive manufacturers, totaled 18,530, an increase of 6% as compared to October 2010. Retail new vehicle unit sales in October 2011 for AutoNation's operating segments were as follows:

  • 5,813 for Domestic, up 12% versus October 2010,

  • 8,796 for Import, down 5% versus October 2010, and

  • 3,921 for Premium Luxury, up 27% versus October 2010.

AutoNation will report November 2011 retail new vehicle unit sales on Friday, December 2, 2011.
