IRVINE, CA--May 17, 2012: CarMD.com Corporation, a leading provider of high tech consumer automotive information and products, today announced the completion of its new corporate headquarters located at 17352 Von Karman Avenue, in Irvine, Calif.

CarMD worked with architectural firm DeRevere and Associates, and Caliber Construction, Inc., to convert the 100,000-square-foot warehouse space into a high tech office, testing space and warehouse facility to meet its projected growth needs. The new building features roughly 30,000 square feet of office space, 20,000 square feet of automotive testing space and a 50,000-square-foot fulfillment center. CarMD was previously based in nearby Fountain Valley, Calif.

"This move is just the first step of what we have planned for CarMD as we continue to execute our growth strategy," said Art Jacobsen, CarMD's vice president. "We are excited about plans for expansion into several North American retail channels; continued success of our CarMD Vehicle Health Index and the introduction of several new products and platforms. Being located in Irvine -- the heart of Orange County's technology center -- enables us to partner with and employ some of the very best minds in today's technology."

Founded in 2006, CarMD provides automotive information and diagnostic products to help everyday drivers monitor their vehicles' health, minimize safety issues and catch problems early before they negatively impact fuel economy.  The company's award-winning CarMD® Vehicle Health System works on all 1996 and newer vehicles manufactured for use in North America. Within seconds, the easy-to-use CarMD handheld device can be plugged into any car, light truck, minivan, SUV or hybrid to provide the driver with the vehicle health status. This can be useful before a road trip, emissions "smog" test or when purchasing a used car.

When a problem is found, CarMD's customers use an Internet-based interface with a Mac or PC to see an easy-to-understand report with empowering information such as most likely fix, parts and labor costs, important safety recalls, associated technical service bulletins and more. What sets CarMD apart from any other automotive product or service is its vast database of real-life car repairs, which provides repair details down to parts and labor by postal code. CarMD has a team of thousands of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)-certified technicians across North America who input repair data daily. Master technicians at the company's headquarters validate the data, which is why it was imperative for CarMD's building design to include fully equipped automotive testing bays.

"As a provider of information designed to help drivers ensure their cars are running at optimum 'green' efficiency, it's important for CarMD to employ 'green' initiatives in our everyday work environment," said Jacobsen. "Thus, all lighting and equipment in the new headquarters are energy efficient, with external shades on windows to reduce A/C use.  We are also considering the installation of solar panels on the rooftop, among other green design enhancements."

CarMD's products are distributed direct to consumers via the award-winning "Save with CarMD" infomercial, www.carmd.com and www.mycarmd.ca websites, Home Shopping Network and Amazon.com; it will be released to select retail outlets later this year. The company, which experienced 300 percent increase in sales in 2011 on top of more than 200 percent growth in 2010, is on track for continued expansion with several available employment opportunities.

The mission of CarMD.com Corporation is to empower consumers and the vehicle market by providing the tools and information needed to make better-educated decisions about vehicle health and maintenance. An ISO 9001:2008-certified company, CarMD's premiere product is the CarMD® Vehicle Health System. For more information, visit CarMD.
