Pep Boys Stores Adds LoopRope To Its Tie Downs Category Just as Summer Driving Begins Pep Boys helps drivers secure loads with the addition of LoopRope to its tie down category in 37 stores nationwide just in time for the biggest summer travel driving season

LoopRope LLC announced today that it has launched its LoopRopeŽ with The Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack , an aftermarket service and retail chain in the nation serving all four segments of the automotive aftermarket: the do-it-yourself, do-it-for-me, buy-for-resale and replacement tires. Pep Boys operates more than 7,000 service bays in more than 700 stores (Supercenters and Service & Tire Centers) in 35 states and Puerto Rico. Currently, Pep Boys operates in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington.

Road debris accidents and highway debris are all too common. Across North America accidental fallouts caused by unsecured loads causes at least 25,000 accidents a year. In most states, securing a load is required the second you have anything outside of the enclosed space of a vehicle. It applies not just to truck drivers, but to car drivers and small pickup trucks. The fines for unsecured loads are often times lofty to discourage people from forgetting or neglecting to do so.

"An unsecured load is a crime in some states. All drivers of open-bed vehicles and trailers are subject to fines starting at $100 if you lose a load," says Jeff Dahl, LoopRope inventor and owner. "If your load comes loose and someone gets injured or killed drivers and/or employers can be charged with penalties up to $5,000 and possible lawsuit."

The LoopRopeŽ shipped their orange/black 5 foot 2 pack ropes to Pep Boys Indianapolis Distribution Center, Altanta Distribution Center, New York Distribution Center, Texas Distribution Center and their Southern California Distribution Center.

"We're growing our market niche-by-niche," said Dahl. "The design of our revolutionary tie-down system makes it a perfect match for all types of work and play. So expanding our markets is an incremental process. We plan on leveraging our new affiliation with The Pep Boys stores to grow the automotive aftermarket niche."

Founded in 2009 by Jeff Dahl in Medford, Oregon, LoopRope LLC was conceived out of frustration and need. A regular guy with guy-gear who makes the occasional dump run, Dahl is not inclined to tie knots, and bungee cords are simply too messy, unreliable and dangerous to use. After much research and multiple prototypes, Dahl invented the LoopRope; made of one continuous piece of shock cord fastened together to create permanent loops. Now patented, LoopRope comes in a variety of lengths. Each LoopRope comes with two dual-sided, stainless steel carabiners. One 5-foot tie-down gives you 10 custom tie-down lengths and over 18 attachment points. Video demos are available on the website. Loop Rope
