Bracket Racing - Summit Racing Series Results Memphis

Millington, Aug. 8, 2012: Saturday, August 4th was jam packed with racing excitement at Memphis International Raceway. The Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams was combined with the second day of J & J Racing’s Summer Shootout Event. Combining the events really ratcheted up the competition and excitement at MIR Saturday night. Thank you to all the racers who participated and congratulations to the winners.

It was a great night for Steady Stackin Motorsports with Cricket Kern and Cody Graham coming out on top in two classes. Kern from Marianna, Arkansas won DOT Champion in her ’07 Chevy Truck with a .136 reaction time, 15.098 E.T. at 87.70 MPH. Cody Graham from Millington, TN won the Super Pro Class with .009 reaction time, 4.901 E.T. at 130.69 MPH.

13 year old Clay Combs from Bells, TN again won the Jr. Dragster Class with a .066 reaction time, 7.957 E.T. at 79.77 MPH. Combs, was closely followed by 12 year old Justin Poindexter from Millington, TN with a .079 reaction time, 8.820 E.T. at 73.36 MPH. David Ciarloni from Collierville, TN won Pro Footbrake with .023 reaction time, 6.097 E.T. at 112.99 MPH in his ’69 Nova. Robert Williams won the Mean Street Class with a .087 reaction time, 5.248 E.T. at 138.16 MPH. Duane Watkins won Pro Mod with .071 reaction time, 3.999 E. T. at 185.31 MPH. The 10.5 Class Champion for the evening was Jeff Cooner with .067 reaction time, 5.854 E. T. at 119.26 MPH. The X275 Champion was Jamie Manzie with .058 reaction time, 5.073 E.T. at 140.88 MPH. Kenny Ford from Muscle Shoals, Alabama won the 6.0 Class in his ’69 Valiant and the 7.0 Class in his ’67 Camaro.

Come out and feel the excitement building at Memphis International Raceway. The next Summit Bracket Race presented by COMP Cams is scheduled for August 11, 2012.
