DEARBORN, MI--October 18, 2012: Emergent Systems will be teaming up with NASSCO and Bollinger Shipyards to develop a ''Design for Production Rules Delivery and Technical Memory Management System'' for Shipyards in order to evaluate the impact of Emergent's Knowledge Management technology, E2ks, on naval ship design and cost. This effort was one of twelve projects selected by the National Shipbuilding Research Project (NSRP) Executive Control Board (ECB) to help reduce Total Ownership Cost (TOC) for the Navy.

On September 26, 2012, in Washington DC, the NSRP Executive Control Board selected the 12 new research and development projects for award as part of the National Shipbuilding Research Program's (NSRP) core mission to reduce the costs associated with Navy shipbuilding and repair. The projects, totaling approximately $1.8 million, will be executed through the NSRP Ship Production Panels which serve as the program's primary public forum for industry-wide networking, technology transfer and best-practice sharing.
