DETROIT - January 14, 2013: The all new Mercedes-Benz got its official debut this morning at the 2013 North American International Auto Show during the Mercedes Press Conference that was carried live on TheAutoChannel.com. The New Generation E-Class Saloon and Estate models are just two of six world premieres that Mercedes-Benz is presenting at the NAIAS 2013 in Detroit. Efficient engines, new assistance systems and a new design idiom modernize the E-Class comprehensively. In both the Saloon and Estate models no less than eleven new or optimized assistance systems from the future S-Class celebrate their world premiere. Like the Saloon and Estate models, Mercedes-Benz has completely revised the Coupé and Cabriolet members of the E-Class family. New additions include powerful and efficient BlueDIRECT four-cylinder engines featuring pioneering injection technology and trend-setting assistance systems, which come under the heading "Intelligent drive". Visually, both the Coupé and Cabriolet draw on the new Mercedes-Benz design idiom. Exclusive, luxurious equipment for sublime refinement underlines the close affinity with the E-Class family.
