Infiniti U.S. Sales Up 4.9 Percent In January

- Sales of Infiniti Luxury Crossovers and Sport Utilities Increase More than 70 Percent -

FRANKLIN, TN--Feb. 1, 2013:  Infiniti today reported January sales of 7,126 units, an increase of 4.9 percent versus 6,796 units a year earlier. 

With a 71 percent gain for the month, sales of Infiniti luxury crossovers and sport utility vehicles remained strong, led by the Infiniti QX full-size SUV with a 14.5 percent increase to 1,168 units, and the new Infiniti JX 7-passenger luxury crossover adding 1,970 incremental sales.

"After a strong close in December, we began our sponsorship of NCAA Men's Basketball in mid-January, which will continue to help drive traffic to our showrooms through the spring," said Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti Americas. "Sales of Infiniti QX luxury SUV and the Infiniti JX crossover continue to bring new shoppers into our showrooms." 

As corporate sponsor of NCAA Men's Basketball, Infiniti began its third annual Coaches' Charity Challenge in January. Through this program, Infiniti will donate a total of $335,000 with $5,000 being donated to each of the 48 participating coaches' designated charities. Then, the coach with the most fan votes in the final round will receive $100,000 for his designated charity. Infiniti is promoting its G Sedan and JX 7-passenger crossover during regular season NCAA Men's Basketball, and through the Final Four .
