MACS 2013 Board of Directors and Officers Installed at Annual Meeting

(Lansdale, PA) February 11, 2013- The board of directors of the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide have elected the following officers for the 2013 board term:

Chairman-Andy Fiffick of Rad-Air Complete Car Care, Cleveland, OH Past Chairman-Michael Deese of Santech Industries, Dallas, TX Vice Chairman-Gus Swensen of Cool Car Auto Air, Columbus, GA

Treasurer- Peter Coll of Neutronics, Exton, PA Secretary-David Jack Of DENSO Sales, Long Beach, CA

The MACS board of directors has 13 members, four from the service and repair, distribution and manufacturing divisions plus the past chairman. Six members are elected annually to two-year terms.

Elected to a two-year term from the service membership for 2013 were Gus Swensen of Cool Car Auto Air, Columbus, GA and R.C. Shirmer of Glen-Ray Rad Inc. of Wausau, WI. Elected to a two-year term from the distribution membership were William Perez of Auto Air Parts of Puerto Rico, San Juan, Puerto Rico and Steve Sunday of Sunair, Ft. Worth, TX. Elected for a two-year term from the manufacturer membership were Peter Coll of Neutronics, Downington, PA and Grace Davis of Omega Environmental Technologies, Dallas, TX.

Founded in 1981, the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) is the leading non-profit trade association for the mobile air conditioning, heating and engine cooling system segment of the automotive aftermarket. MACS represents a growing membership in North America and 47 countries around the world, and is affiliated with the Vehicle Air Conditioning Specialists of Australia (VASA). MACS also provides information and services to more than 60,000 industry shops, suppliers and technicians. The Society serves the industry through informational tools, self-paced educational materials, leader-led training clinics, advocacy and other member services. Since 1991, MACS has assisted more than one million technicians to comply with 1990 Clean Air Act requirements for certification in refrigerant recovery and recycling to protect the environment.
