Auto Central April 15, 2013; For over 20 years The Auto Channel has populated its New Car and New Truck Review Library with thousands of professionally conducted, and original new vehicle reviews.

The Auto Channel’s Car and Truck Reviews offer viewers expert un-biased first-hand impressions and meaningful opinions about the comparative value of the new cars and trucks being offered for purchase at local dealers in North America and Europe.

The Auto Channel editorial policy has excluded accepting and publishing "Owner's Reviews" because of their built-in bias and a lack of broad comparisons and poor technical and driving skills knowledge.

Owners who do want to brag about their great new car and those who care what owners think can do so on social media review site The Top 5 Reasons I Bought My Car.

2013 Mazda3 Grand Touring Sedan Review By Michael Bernstein: The interior style and vibe was enhanced by the optional $200 Interior Lighting Kit that added ambient illumination to key areas of the interior, while the exterior was up-scaled by the $1,500 Technology Package

2013 Mazda5 Grand Touring Steve Purdy Review:This would be an easy car to live with for a broad variety of folks – young families as well as empty nester's who need some hauling capacity and economy-minded folks in many demographic categories.

2013 BMW X1 xDrive35i Rocky Mountain Review By Dan Poler:Other than the relatively high seating position, you forget that you’re driving a small SUV – one might think that the X1 feels like the X3, but the driving experience is really closer to that of the E90 3-series. And that’s a very good thing.

2013 Hyundai Elantra GT Review by Larry Nutson - I’ve had wheel-time in a number of Hyundai models and always came away very impressed. I hadn’t yet been in the Elantra and was looking forward to my drive time in the new-for-2013 Elantra GT…

2013 Toyota RAV4 Review By John Heilig - The redesigned Toyota RAV4 is sleeker and has more attributes than the model it replaces. Since 1994, when the first RAV4 was introduced, to today with the fourth generation, the RAV4 crossover has kept its position as the pre-eminent crossover sport utility vehicle with its combination of style and utility…

2013 Dodge Dart Limited Review By Dan Poler - This is the new Dodge Dart, priced under $25,000. Wait, what? That can’t be right. Must be a luxury sedan. Maybe $50k, German or Japanese? – Nope…

2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid SEL Review By Carey Russ - Interesting car here…I liked it, more engaging than any Prius and more power, not to mention a much better interior. Didn't get the advertised mileage, what a surprise. Otoh I got stopped on the street (in Berkeley:) by a guy who was thinking about buying one, realized the mileage discrepancy, and still liked it. What did I think? Buy it. Hell, 36mpg is nothing to be ashamed of, particularly since this thing can get out of its own way. Electric motors make maximum torque at 0 rpm what's not to like? The Ford C-Max combines space, style, and fuel efficiency with a small footprint…

2013 GMC Sierra Denali 1500 Review By Steve Purdy - When I mentioned at dinner the other night that I would be reviewing this beautiful pickup soon my tablemate, a lovely young PR gal, asked, “Why would anyone want to drive one of those things every day?” She obviously doesn’t understand…

Heels On Wheels: 2013 Kia Sportage Review - The 2013 Kia Sportage reels drivers in with its sleek looks and accommodating cabin, but comes up a few fuel economy numbers short compared to two hot compact crossovers. The turbocharged 2-liter needs some tweaking to smooth things out – no doubt a challenge Kia will rise to in its quest to keep the RAV4 and CR-V out of the spotlight…
