SANTA ROSA, CA--April 24, 2013: ZAP (ZAAP) Jonway Automobile, manufacturer of  Electric Vehicles and other New Energy Vehicles, is exhibiting at the 15th International Shanghai Automobile & Manufacturing Technology Exhibition this week and has already signed up several new dealerships, thus further expanding its sales distribution network in China.  The Shanghai Auto Show alternates each year with Beijing. This year it is held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from April 21 to 29, 2013.  According to the Auto Channel, "With the theme of 'Innovation for Better Life,'  Auto Shanghai 2013 will not only be a testament to the innovative developments of China's automotive sector, but also demonstrate how modern automobiles are focusing on new technologies and environmental protection while rewarding drivers and their passengers with an enhanced lifestyle.  The event is expected to attract over 800,000 visitors.  About 2,000 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions will display around 1,300 auto models. Up to 111 vehicles will have their world premiere at the auto show, including 28 vehicles introduced by multinational automakers; 49 vehicles will have their Asia debut. The auto show will include 69 concept cars, including 50 cars from multinational automakers and 19 cars manufactured by domestic Chinese automakers; as well as 91 new energy vehicles, 56 of which are from multinational automakers and 35 of which are launched by domestic Chinese automakers."

ZAP Jonway exhibited 7 vehicles, unveiling its 2013 new Jonway-Falcon model announced earlier, and also its new Italian designed models for both the 5-door and the 3-door SUVs, designed by MAGGORIA/VIOTTI.  ZAP Jonway is focused at delivering not only quality vehicles but quality SUVs with style to match the growing sentiments of Chinese consumers for luxury with elegance.  ZAP Jonway's partnership with MAGGORIA/VIOTTI exemplifies its commitment to artistic value, to differentiate amongst its Chinese competitors to address above and beyond the basic requirements of performance.

ZAP Jonway pioneered the SUV market, starting with its 3-door model more than nine years ago long before any Chinese auto manufacturers offered SUV models.  Today SUV enjoys the largest growth in sales in China.  SUV sales in China grew 49 percent in March compared to the previous year, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. According to Bob Socia, President of GM in China, "Our focus is on luxury vehicles and S.U.V.'s going forward," and he predicts that sale of SUVs in China would double by 2015, to four million vehicles per year.  This represents a tremendous opportunity for ZAP Jonway with its new line of SUV models, starting this year with Jonway-Falcon.  Its attractive line of new products shown at this Shanghai Auto Show attracted a significant number of new dealerships in China, who are looking for high performance SUVs with stylishness to match.  ZAP Jonway will continue to expand its dealerships in China, and increase its market presence to promote its brand and continue to increase its sales.
