Luxury watch from Shinola to honor Ford Mustang
Detroit-based Shinola is helping to mark
50 years of Mustang with the release of a premium wristwatch. Bearing the
exclusive Mustang 50 Years logo, only 1,000 of these watches will be sold.

strength, passion and quality, and so is a perfect fit to help celebrate
this special moment in automotive history.
Developer workshops now open
App developers looking to help drivers better understand how they use
fuel can now submit their OpenXC-based apps to the Ford Personalized Fuel
Efficiency App Challenge. Nondevelopers can participate as well, by
submitting ideas for apps. A panel of judges will evaluate the submissions
and award $50,000 in cash prizes for the best
apps, with $25,000 to the overall winner. The
challenge runs through July 24.
Ford puts kids on the path to innovation
The spirit of innovation embraced by Henry
Ford was alive and well at Ford's recent "Take Our Children to Work
Day." Hundreds of kids of employees gained valuable insight into how the
jobs performed by their parents at the Ford Research and Innovation Center
help develop the company's future vehicles.
Fleet customers save with Ford hybrids
Hybrid Ford vehicles are attracting new commercial buyers searching for
ways to save money at the pump. Con-way, Esurance, Quest Diagnostics and
AT&T have purchased Ford Fusion and C-MAX hybrids for their fleets. These
companies are finding the savings realized from replacing gas-powered cars
with hybrid offerings can cut total operational costs by as much as 45
percent.
