BELLEVUE, WA--May 2, 2013:  Tweddle Group Technologies, the Seattle-based connected services division of Tweddle Group, announces that it was selected as a finalist in the "Best Telematics Content Aggregator" category for the Telematics Update Awards.

Tweddle Group Technologies' (TGT) connected services platform enables drivers to access infotainment and vehicle services using the driver's mobile phone or an embedded cellular modem. The technology's modular approach supports all known connection strategies. The cloud- and client-based solution brings drivers a fully-connected services experience including searching local points of interest, listening to streaming radio, making restaurant reservations and more from their vehicle. These technologies enhance the driving experience while contributing to passenger safety and reducing total cost of ownership for automotive OEMs and service providers.

"We are thrilled to be shortlisted for the Telematics Update Awards with other top and emerging content and service aggregators.  Delivering automotive-grade service is defined by offering highly relevant content safely in the vehicle, as opposed to simply building in as many apps as possible.  TGT places high value on offering drivers a continuous experience inside and outside the vehicle, with services that makes sense in a driving environment," said Paul Sciame, General Manager of TGT.

Over 350 companies submitted nominations for this year's Telematics Update Awards. Telematics Update is the reference point for automotive telematics, mobile and web industries and a cornerstone for communications within the industry.  The Telematics Update Awards rewards 12 areas of the telematics industry.  The "Best Telematics Content Aggregator" award is designed to recognize the emerging breed of content aggregators and rewards companies that have a unique method of aggregating and bringing content into the vehicle.  Winners will be announced at the 2013 Telematics Update Awards ceremony, Tuesday June 4, in Novi, Michigan.
