PCNA delivers 3,928 vehicles in May

ATLANTA--June 3, 2013: Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars, Cayenne SUVs and the Panamera four-door sports sedan line-up in the United States, today announced May 2013 sales of 3,928 vehicles. This is the best May sales month -- and second best month ever -- in PCNA history and compares to 2,852 vehicles sold in May 2012, an increase of 38 percent. For the year, PCNA has delivered 17,609 vehicles in the U.S., up 31 percent over last year's all-time record sales year.

The Cayenne continues to be the top-seller, with 1,765 vehicles sold in May -- a 50 percent increase over 2012. The latest versions of the Cayenne -- the GTS, Diesel and Turbo S models -- led the way.

Also hot in May were the recently-introduced Boxster and Cayman models, both of which were up significantly over last year. The 911 line also sold well, with 895 models retailed, up two percent over a record-setting 2012. The 911 is up 13 percent for the year.

"Our two-door sports cars are still the heart and soul of the Porsche brand and of our entire model range," said Detlev von Platen, president and CEO, Porsche Cars North America, Inc. "The Boxster, Cayman and 911 accounted for 45 percent of all new-car sales in May. We're pleased with this healthy sales mix and are pushing for another strong sales year."

Panamera inventory is very low, as Porsche prepares to launch an updated 2014 model this fall.
