Subaru Canada: Best June ever

First time ever Subaru Canada sells 17,258 units in a six-month period.

Year-to-date sales are up 17.4 percent. Best June ever for all four regions across Canada. Record sales increase in June for Subaru BRZ, Forester and Impreza. Highest monthly sales ever for Subaru BRZ.

MISSISSAUGA, ON--July 3, 2013: Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today announced its highest increases ever for the month of June with 3,274 units sold, up 27.1 percent over the same period last year. This month's sales increase results in a historically high six-month period with second-quarter results up 28.4 percent and year-to-date sales up 17.4 percent.

Forester sales surged after being named a TOP SAFETY PICK+ from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) earlier this quarter. Subaru's compact SUV celebrated a record June with 1,058 units sold, up 57.9% over the same period last year. Subaru BRZ results also skyrocketed towards their best month ever with sales for the rear-wheel-drive sports coupe up 23.7 percent over last June. Impreza compact car sales also rose by 3.1 percent over the same period last year.

"We listened to Canadian consumers and developed a product offering that resonates well with the market. The addition of the XV Crosstrek hybrid - Subaru's first hybrid and the first full-time All-Wheel Drive hybrid - will drive our sales success this fall as we work towards a banner year."
