Facility commemorates 10-year milestone with expansion to increase manufacturing capacity and support growth

SHORTER, AL--July 18, 2013: Halla Visteon Climate Control Corp. (KS: 018880) has completed the expansion of its automotive climate products manufacturing facility in Shorter, Ala. This expansion adds approximately 30,000 square feet to the existing 260,000 square feet of floor space and boosts the plant's annual capacity to support new business with vehicle manufacturers. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by local government officials, company leaders and plant employees.

This is the second major expansion since Halla Visteon Climate Control Alabama Corp. was established in 2003. The first, in 2007, added nearly 130,000 square feet. This latest expansion coincides with the plant's 10-year anniversary, which occurred in March, and the appointment of Mr. JS Yoon as managing director of the Shorter facility. Mr. Yoon has extensive global manufacturing leadership experience with the company.

"Our plant in Shorter is a vital operation for HVCC in North America and serves an important global customer base," said Brian Sullivan, president of Halla Visteon Climate Control, Americas. "With a focus on delivering high-quality products and solid customer service, employees at this plant over the past decade have helped achieve significant growth, and this expansion enhances our ability to serve customers in this key market in the future."

The plant currently has nearly 500 employees and produces climate products including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units and front end modules for various vehicle manufacturers.
