SYDNEY – Aug 19, 2013: PROTON Cars Australia is proud to be associated with the Westmead Hospital initiative ‘bstreetsmart’; which is co-produced by the Balnaves Foundation.

Aimed at year 10-12 students, bstreetsmart has been educating young people since 2010, about safe behaviour on our roads to reduce the fatality and injury rates.

It also provides an opportunity for students and teachers to access current information in the areas of trauma care and injury prevention strategies.

Over 16,000 students attend the event each year over the 3 days and it includes a simulated crash scene scenario, speakers from the brain injury unit and interactive displays.

PROTON Cars Australia will have on display the Prevé, their latest four-door sedan that received the maximum 5-Star ANCAP Safety rating earlier this year.

The Proton Prevé features a comprehensive safety package including a Reinforced Safety Structure body shell for torsional rigidity and maximum occupant protection, six SRS airbags including dual front, dual side and dual full-length SRS curtain airbags, Electronic Stability control, Traction control, ABS brakes, Active front head rests, reversing sensors and an automatic, speed-sensitive, door locking/unlocking system.

In addition, the Proton Prevé comes with 5 years warranty, 5 years roadside assistance and 5 years capped price servicing, with the manual priced from just $15,990 drive away and the CVT auto priced from $17,990 drive away, for a limited time only.

PROTON Cars Australia General Manager Sales and Marketing Billy Falconer said: “We are pleased to be a part of this wonderful initiative by the Westmead Hospital. Proton has a proud history in educating younger drivers in our partnership with Queensland based Safe Drive Training”.
