Subaru Canada Has Terrific August

Canada's fastest growing Japanese automaker revels in six months of consecutive growth with YTD results up 20.8 percent. Compact SUV results lead the sales charge with Forester up 59.2 percent. The Subaru XV Crosstrek and Impreza topple August results with increases of 159.2 and 26.3 percent, respectively.

MISSISSAUGA, ON--Sept. 4, 2013: Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) breaks the 3,000-unit sales mark for the sixth month in a row, also marking six consecutive months of growth, as Subaru retails 3,339 units in August, a 24.6 percent increase over the same period last year. Subaru is also up 20.8 percent year to date: As Canada's fastest growing Japanese automaker, Subaru Canada is working towards another all-time annual sales record for 2013.

Putting the "Sport" back in SUV this month is the Subaru Forester. With results up 59.2 percent this month, the all-new 2014 Forester contributed to almost one-third of Subaru's Canada's August results, retailing 1,046 units. Canada's most fuel-efficient All-Wheel Drive compact crossover, the Subaru XV Crosstrek, also enjoyed a record month with results up 159.2 percent this August, while Subaru's fun-to-drive compact car - the Impreza - celebrated record results with sales up 26.3 percent this month.
