EcoDual Unveils MAX/SR 2.0 Dual Fuel System and Two-Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty

natural gas

CLEVELAND--Sept. 18, 2013: EcoDual, Inc., the leading provider of dual fuel systems for heavy-duty, Class 8 trucks, today announced Version 2.0 of its flagship platform, the MAX/SR™ Dual Fuel System and a new two-year unlimited mileage warranty.

MAX/SR™ 2.0 features a breakthrough in natural gas substitution rates with industry-specific enhancements to EcoDual's proprietary technology. It will save operators 25% on their overall fuel costs. Other key upgrades of MAX/SR™ 2.0 make the system more reliable, durable and lighter, while also decreasing installation time, emissions and maintenance expenses.

EcoDual's new two-year unlimited mileage warranty is an industry first. This unprecedented commitment by EcoDual provides customers with the peace of mind they expect when upgrading their fleets to dual fuel technology.

"With the development and launch of MAX/SR™ 2.0, we've changed the landscape when it comes to dual fuel technology," says Mike Donoughe, CEO of EcoDual. "Version 2.0 continues EcoDual's focus on innovation, with an upgraded system design and new features to enhance the value we deliver. Our expanded warranty coverage demonstrates our confidence in the MAX/SR™ 2.0 Dual Fuel System and our commitment of excellence to our customers. EcoDual's products will be the standard for how America's fleets move to natural gas solutions to fuel the growth of their businesses. We are thrilled to make this announcement."

MAX/SR™ 2.0 features benefits that directly drive greater cost savings and an improved driver experience:

Increases natural gas substitution rates to achieve a 16% improvement across the broadest range of driving conditions Precisely controls natural gas and diesel fuel injection to optimize combustion and minimize emissions Improves performance and durability by integrating new electrical and controls systems into the MAX/SR™ architecture Significantly reduces installation time and truck weight with its new tank mounting design Provides multiple colors for tank enclosures to enable fleets to better match each truck

The MAX/SR™ 2.0 further enables Class 8 fleets to significantly reduce fuel costs by utilizing cleaner, domestically produced compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquefied natural gas (LNG). With the ability to utilize natural gas with existing diesel engines, fleets are able to realize cost savings and reduced maintenance cycles while maintaining the same power and torque required for efficient performance. As natural gas fueling stations continue to come on-line, dual fuel overcomes any range anxiety given its ability to run on diesel fuel if on-board CNG or LNG is depleted.

For those attending the Great Lakes Truck Expo and Clean Fuels Ohio Green Fleet Awards, EcoDual is available at Booth 904 and will have demos available at the Ride and Drive to discuss the MAX/SR™ 2.0.
