2014 Subaru XV CrossTrek Hybrid

At 33 MPG highway 2014 Subaru XV CrossTrek Hybrid will be most fuel efficient crossover available

TOPEKA, KS--Sept. 24, 2013: After years of watching from the sidelines, Subaru has announced that they will be releasing their first hybrid model for the 2014 model year. Upon its release, the 2014 Subaru XV CrossTrek Hybrid will be the most fuel efficient crossover vehicle in the nation. The manufacturer strategically designed the hybrid to target their unique consumers, meaning the XV CrossTrek is unlike any hybrid available. It was made to handle all types of driving, both on and off-road. No matter the environment, however, consumers are sure to appreciate the 33 MPG highway fuel economy rating of the hybrid.

It's a known fact that Subaru buyers typically spend most of their time outdoors, so many of the features of the XV CrossTrek Hybrid reflect that. Where the hybrid succeeds is that it is practical for both adventurers and highway commuters alike. Installed on a 6.1-inch touch screen, a voice-activated navigation system is useful for avoiding backed up traffic or finding an exit in an uncharted forest. The all-season tires of the XV CrossTrek lift the hybrid enough to provide 8.7 inches of ground clearance, plenty of space to clear even the most treacherous paths.

One feature of the XV CrossTrek that consumers are sure to appreciate is the versatile storage. The hatchback offers a cargo capacity not typically found in a hybrid. A split-back seat and raised roof rack help to provide a variety of flexible storage options. The list of options continues in the safety features of the 2014 XV CrossTrek Hybrid, which includes systems found in every Subaru model. That includes seven standard airbags, symmetrical all-wheel drive, anti-lock brakes and a brake assist which helps to apply full braking force in the event of a panic-stop situation.

It was these features which led not only the 2013 XV CrossTrek, but every 2013 Subaru model to be rated as a Top Safety Pick by the IIHS, so consumers can be sure that the hybrid model will be plenty safe. It took Subaru a while to get a hybrid released, but the 2014 XV CrossTrek Hybrid proves that the manufacturer wanted to take the time to do it right.

The exact release date of the XV CrossTrek Hybrid has not been released.
