Proton Cars Australia Partners with Special Olympics Australia

SYDNEY – Oct 1, 2013: PROTON Cars Australia is pleased to announce its partnership with Special Olympics Australia.

As part of the global movement, Special Olympics Australia commenced providing opportunities through sport for people with intellectual disabilities in 1976.

Today, weekly training programs throughout Australia, support over 6000 athletes with an intellectual disability. These weekly training programs create a pathway to representing at regional, state, national, or international level at an event like the Asia-Pacific Games.

The range of sports offered includes aquatics, athletics, basketball, bocce, cricket, equestrian, soccer, golf, gymnastics, softball, tennis and tenpin bowling.

PROTON Cars Australia, a Silver Partner with Special Olympics Australia, has provided two of its latest model vehicles, the four-door Prevé GX sedan. These vehicles will assist key Special Olympics people to undertake their important work in the community.
