GKN Driveline and the SMMT's 2013 Innovation Award - Shortlist of Contenders

REDDITCH, England--October 3, 2013: The shortlist of contenders for the 2013 SMMT Award Automotive Innovation supported by GKN Driveline, is published today. Partnered by the global engineer for the third year running, the Award is a celebration of the UK's leading edge capabilities in automotive design and engineering by identifying exceptional innovations which have the potential to transform the industry.

The shortlist, announced by the SMMT today, will have to present their innovations in front of a judging panel including; Dave Salt, Chief Engineer, GKN Driveline, Jim Higginbotham, Managing Director, Large Corporate and Special Asset Finance, Lombard, John Laughlin, Programme Manager - Low Carbon Vehicles, Technology Strategy Board, Mike Hawes, SMMT Chief Executive and Robert Lea, Industrial Editor, The Times.

The winner will be announced by Nigel Stein, GKN CEO at the SMMT Annual Dinner in London on 26th November 2013.
