DETROIT--Nov. 4, 2013: Scheduled for introduction in 2014, Lincoln's new ultra-premium Black Label vehicle collection will offer interiors with Italian-made materials from Alcantara.

Limited-edition design themes and ultra-premium materials are among the hallmarks of the Black Label collection. Alcantara will be used on headliners, pillars and package trays, as well as for seat, trunk and floor-mat detailing.

The Black Label collection's Center Stage design theme previewed at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance offered uniquely perforated Alcantara that added a plush texture to doors and seats. Inspired by the worlds of fashion and theatre, the Center Stage Jet Black interior featured a Foxfire Red headliner to mirror the interior of a theatre richly accented in red.

In addition to Center Stage, Lincoln also plans to offer two other Black Label design themes -- Modern Heritage and Indulgence. The Black Label collection's official public introduction is scheduled to take place at the 2014 New York International Auto Show next spring.

Alcantara is a unique Italian-made material that offers designers a variety of benefits, including the fact that it is soft, supple, strong, resilient, breathable and washable.

Based on patented technology, Alcantara is the choice of leading companies in the automotive, marine, fashion, home interior and consumer electronics industries. A registered trademark of Alcantara S.p.A., it is certified as "carbon neutral," adding to its appeal for companies and consumers with a strong interest in the environment.
