MILTON KEYNES, UNITED KINGDOM – Nov 15, 2013: The Suzuki Swift won double at The Green Apple Awards at the House of Commons earlier this week. The awards are organised by The Green Organisation and judged by the Midland Group of Motoring Journalists.

Swift took the top prize in the small cars category and second overall, beating competition by impressing the judges with its great drive, with one judge commenting: “A nippy little engine and agile handling easily make this the best supermini I have driven, perfect for around town.”

Green credentials were also highlighted by the panel: “It’s never been easier to enjoy a car while admiring the way it empties its small tank so slowly.” Swift has just got even greener with the recent introduction of the updated 1.3 DDiS engine, which produces CO2 emissions of just 101g/km and offers 72.4mpg on the combined cycle. The 1.2 dual VVT petrol engine is one of the cleanest supermini engines on the market, with emissions of just 116g/km CO2 attracting just £30 per year in VED charges (manual transmission).

Swift customers can currently enjoy the benefit of purchasing their new car VAT free until the end of December 2013 with a range of highly competitive PCP offers also available. As an example, the SZ2 three door at £8,999 remains available for a deposit of only £159 followed by 42 monthly payments of £159 and an optional payment of £3,535. The five door SZ2 is also available for £159 per month but requires a slightly higher deposit of £639.
