NORTHBROOK, IL--Nov. 25, 2013: More than 160 cars and counting; that's the number of vehicles Allstate Insurance Company and Sterling Autobody Centers has donated over the last six years to families and nonprofit organizations in need of reliable transportation.

This year, the companies will donate 18 newly refurbished automobiles through the National Auto Body Council's (NABC) Recycled Rides Program. The majority of the vehicles will be gifted during the holidays in the coming weeks. A few cars have already been gifted. The vehicles have been restored and made road ready by technicians at Sterling shops in 10 states (California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Utah).

"Reliable transportation is something many of us take for granted," said Sterling Autobody Centers President Nick Notte. "We are proud to offer our time and resources to transform lives and touch families and organizations across the country. While the gift of a vehicle provides a practical means of transportation, what it really provides is hope."

Recycled Rides donation events are scheduled to happen simultaneously in multiple cities on Monday, November 25, with other events scattered throughout November and December. Here's the schedule:
