Subaru Canada: November Marks New Annual Sales Record

Subaru achieves a new all-time annual sales record, selling 34,056 units so far this year. Subaru Forester topples monthly sales record with sales up 138.9 percent. XV Crosstrek and BRZ celebrate their best November ever, increasing sales by 24.7 and 1.6 percent respectively.

MISSISSAUGA, ON--Dec. 3, 2013: Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today announced it has already blazed past last year's sales record by selling 34,056 units so far this year, markedly ahead of 2012's total annual sales record of 31,003 units. With a total of 3,327 units sold, a 22.0 percent increase over the same month last year, November marks the ninth consecutive month of increased sales. Subaru is surging past all other Japanese automakers with a year-to-date sales increase of a whopping 20.8 percent, and there's still another month to go before the year ends.

Landmark sales were accomplished throughout Canada, with all regions reporting their best November ever, and each of them surpassing last year's mark for total annual sales. Putting the "Sport" back into SUV, the Subaru Forester led the way by selling 1,211 units, once again beating all other Subaru models this November with sales up an incredible 138.9 percent. The XV Crosstrek, Canada's most fuel-efficient All-Wheel Drive compact crossover, achieved its best November ever by retailing 586 units, up 24.7 percent. Increased sales were also recorded by the BRZ - Subaru's nimble, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe - with a monthly sales increase of 1.6 percent.
