LONDON – Dec 1, 2013: Hundreds of customers and guests joined media and civic dignitaries for a luxurious Christmas celebration at world-renowned heritage and restoration experts Aston Martin Works on Friday (6 December).

Almost 300 guests from across the UK and continental Europe made their way to the historic home of Aston Martin in Newport Pagnell for the pre-Christmas party – staged by Works’ Managing Director Kingsley Riding-Felce and his team as a sincere thank you to the company’s customers for their support throughout 2013.

Stars of the show at the red carpet event in Buckinghamshire included a number of the rarest and most sought-after Aston Martin models, with pride of place going to the DB5 used in the filming of the most recent James Bond epic, Skyfall.

Alongside the DB5, guests at the event had the chance to view an exceptionally rare DB6 Shooting Brake once owned by Formula One ace Innes Ireland, in the newly-opened Heritage Showroom at Aston Martin Works.

The new showroom building, converted from the former panel shop at Aston Martin Works and, originally, an aircraft hangar, houses the rare and often highly collectible heritage sales cars that are carefully re-homed by Works’ sales manager Paul Spires and his team.

Elsewhere on Friday, party guests had the chance to view and try some of the latest fashions modelled by The Really Wild Clothing Company, sample exquisite cocktails from local gin distillers Warner Edwards and enjoy music from vintage vocal harmony group The Langley Sisters.

Meanwhile, those with a taste for more modern metal could glimpse no fewer than three of the sold-out One-77 Aston Martin hypercars on display in Works’ service facility, sitting alongside an equally rare V12 Zagato.

Aston Martin Works Managing Director, Kingsley Riding-Felce, welcomed guests at Friday’s party, reminding them that the event was created as a gesture of thanks and celebration in this, Aston Martin’s centenary year.

Speaking on Friday, he said: “Tonight is our opportunity – every one of the team here at Aston Martin Works – to thank you for your superb support and amazing interest in this great business of ours throughout 2013.

“The building we stand in this evening – Olympia – is our newly-opened heritage showroom and its renovation completes the two-year, multi-million pound redevelopment of Aston Martin Works and cements our position as the home of Aston Martin heritage, restoration, service and repair.”
