Green Automotive e-Patriot

RIVERSIDE, CA--Feb. 4, 2014: Green Automotive Company (OTCQB: GACR) announced last week the launch of its all American built 100% electric shuttle bus, the e-Patriot, at the upcoming February 16-18th International LCT Show at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas (LCT Show), one of the largest shuttle and charter events. The company has already received several enquiries from local authorities and businesses as the e-Patriot can offer a very cost effective transport solution in a variety of markets.

“Zero Emissions Airport Vehicle and Infrastructure Pilot Program”

The electric shuttle bus does not only allow a massive reduction in CO2 levels but it also helps businesses and local authorities to work in a more cost efficient way. In addition to the potential savings in fuel costs (electricity is on average 80% less than the cost of diesel per mile travelled), electric buses benefit from a number of federal and state-based financial incentives that allow their owners to reduce significantly the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Several US states provide considerable funding for projects that reduce air pollution from on- and off-road vehicles, as well as tax incentives and have put in place laws and regulations to encourage the deployment of EVs.

Here are just a few examples: in California the “Air Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP)” provides vouchers to help California fleets purchase zero-emission trucks and buses. In addition the Motor Vehicle Registration Fee Program provides funding for projects that reduce air pollution from on- and off-road vehicles. The Colorado Energy Office and Regional Air Quality Council provide grants to support plug-in electric vehicle adoption in fleets. The Community Conservation Challenge (CCC) program, which the Indiana Office of Energy Development administers, offers grants ranging from $25,000 to $150,000 for community energy conservation efforts, including projects that deploy alternative fuel vehicles in fleets.

One of the most attractive markets for the e-Patriot is airport transport, as charging requirements can be met easily and operators benefit from the “Zero Emissions Airport Vehicle and Infrastructure Pilot Program” that provides funding to airports for 50% of the eligible cost to acquire zero emission vehicles.

Green Automotive Company, together with its subsidiary Newport Coachworks, that builds and sells the e-Patriot, have compiled a comprehensive database of all incentives and subsidies available State by State, to ensure potential purchasers have the latest information on the real TCO for operating one of these magnificent new zero emission transport solutions.
