Lexus Named Top Luxury Brand in Kelley Blue Book’s 2014 5-Year Cost to Own Awards Lowest Depreciation Costs and Strong Residual Values Contribute to Ownership Cost

TORRANCE, CA--February 10, 2014: Lexus owners have more to be happy about since the marque earned top honors in the Luxury Brand category of Kelley Blue Book’s 2014 5-Year Cost to Own Awards. This is the second year in a row Lexus has been named the luxury brand with the lowest projected ownership costs during the first five years.

Depreciation is a major factor contributing to ownership cost; however Lexus vehicles have the lowest depreciation cost of any eligible luxury brand thanks to strong residual values across the full model line-up.

Lexus also ranks lowest in repairs and is among the lowest in fuel and insurance costs.

Key models contributing to Lexus’ strong performance include the ES and IS sedans, and RX luxury utility vehicle. Kelley Blue Book named the LS flagship sedan the top High-End Luxury Car while the RX took the Hybrid SUV/Crossover category.

The distinction of having the lowest projected 5-Year Cost to Own is another advantage on top of the already excellent ownership experience and impressive customer service.
