IRVINE, CA--Feb. 25, 2014: While much of the United States has been slammed by extensive winter weather, leaving drivers to battle icy snowstorm conditions in recent weeks, the expert editors at Kelley Blue Book KBB have chosen their list of the 10 Best All-Wheel-Drive Cars & SUVs Under $25,000. By hand-picking the top affordable AWD choices, the KBB.com experts highlight the best vehicles for new-car shoppers who want to be completely prepared on the road for winter weather and other driving challenges.

"For 2014 there are plenty of all-wheel-drive cars and trucks available under $25,000, so we culled many from the list to arrive at the 10 we felt best represented the category," said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director of Kelley Blue Book. "Subaru clearly is the leader in the category, snagging the top five spots. The Subaru name is practically synonymous with all-wheel-drive, and the automaker builds and markets their vehicles with outdoor challenges in mind. The remaining five spots on the list feature AWD versions of compact-to-midsize SUVs from import manufacturers Honda, Nissan, Mazda and Kia."
