Chevrolet Brings the Noise at South by Southwest

AUSTIN, TX--March 10, 2014: South by Southwest® Music attendees can turn up the volume beginning Wednesday, March 12 with three consecutive nights of official music festival showcases highlighting 18 exclusive performances at Chevrolet Courtyard at Cedar Street located at 208 W. 4th Street.

“South by Southwest’s music festival gives concert-goers an unforgettable experience and allows us to showcase the in-vehicle technology that keeps them listening to their favorite songs long after the concerts end,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing.

SXSW Music badge holders and fans with artist wristbands can enter the venue free on a first-come, first-listen basis. While waiting for their favorite artists to hit the stage, concert-goers can take photos next to the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray.

Two-step Out of Downtown

During the SXSW Music festival, Chevrolet will also be parked at the Outdoor Stage at Butler Park located at 1000 W. Riverside Drive, where festival-goers can relax outdoors, play their own tunes in a Chevrolet Camaro 2SS or create a personalized show poster to remember the trip.

Tunes Meet Technology

This year, Chevrolet is also teaming up with several other well-known brands to present the first annual SXSW Music Hackathon Championship, where creative minds will come together to create new ideas to help revolutionize the music business for artists, bands and fans. The SXSW Music Hackathon will take place over a 24-hour period from Wednesday, March 12 to Thursday, March 13 at the Hilton Austin Downtown. The winners will be recognized on Friday, March 14 at 6 p.m.
