Skoda UK Honors Top Retailers

Ingram ŠKODA in Ayr, Heritage ŠKODA in Yeovil and Alex Lawrie ŠKODA in Liverpool win prestigious Retailer of the Year title at annual ŠKODA awards

Milton Keynes--March 24, 2014: –ŠKODA UK took time out last week to reward the fantastic contribution of its retailer network at the ŠKODA Retailer of the Year Awards in Edinburgh.

The annual ceremony, which was held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Friday 21st March, recognised the achievements of the very best of the vehicle manufacturer’s 134 UK retailers across 11 different categories. Ingram ŠKODA in Ayr, Heritage ŠKODA in Yeovil and Alex Lawrie ŠKODA in Liverpool, emerged victorious with the top prize of the night, in recognition of their outstanding all-round business performance in 2013.

Alasdair Stewart, Brand Director, ŠKODA UK, said: “I would like to congratulate the winners on their awards, and thank all of the retailers for their continued hard work and dedication. I’m confident that, together, we can make 2014 another record-breaking year.

“The number of cars sold in the UK is rapidly increasing every year and we are delighted to be setting new records. Sales of new ŠKODA vehicles reached a very impressive 66,000 units in 2013, compared to 53,200 for the previous 12 months, a significant 24% increase. This is of course testament to the outstanding work of our retailers up and down the country.”

As well as the prestigious Retailer of the Year awards, prizes were presented for new vehicle and fleet sales, customer satisfaction and aftersales performance, amongst others. The event also saw the two winners announced for the UK Service Challenge, whilst the evening also provided the perfect opportunity to look back on the milestones of an unforgettable year for the ŠKODA brand.
