Stuttgart--March 31, 2014: The highest-volume model in the Mercedes-Benz portfolio has the makings of a best-seller once again: the joint dealer premiere for the C-Class and GLA-Class in Germany drew 300,000 visitors to the showrooms on the second weekend in March and generated over 6,000 test drives. The small-scale models of the C-Class are all set to meet with similarly large-scale demand: miniature 1:18, 1:43 and 1:87-scale models of the new C-Class are available from authorised Mercedes-Benz dealers now. With the same high-class appeal: the model cars have been produced on the basis of the original design data (CAD data) and assembled by hand.

Model car specialist and Mercedes-Benz partner Norev assembles the C-Class Saloon from over 130 separate parts in a scale of 1:18. All doors and bonnets can be opened, and the interior features high-quality printing. The details include LED ILS headlamps and a glass sliding sunroof. The floors of the interior and the luggage compartment are flock-coated. The models are finished in highly authentic paintwork in genuine colours: the model car in die-cast zinc measuring around 25.5 cm in length is available for €74.90[1] in the colours iridium silver, tenorite grey (AVANTGARDE equipment line, with centrally positioned star and 5-spoke wheels) or obsidian black and diamond white metallic BRIGHT (EXCLUSIVE equipment line, with classic star on the bonnet and 5-twin-spoke wheels).

Norev also produces the C-Class in a scale of 1:43. Measuring around eleven centimetres in length, the hand-assembled model comprises more than 55 individual parts. The available paint finishes are diamond white metallic BRIGHT and obsidian black (in combination with the AVANTGARDE equipment line) or diamond silver and citrine brown (EXCLUSIVE). LED ILS headlamps and 5-spoke (AVANTGARDE) or 5-twin-spoke (EXCLUSIVE) wheels again feature as standard. The die-cast zinc model costs €29.90, including a presentation box and printed base. The C-Class Saloon from Herpa comes in the customary H0 scale of 1:87.

The miniature model of around 5.4 cm in length (price: €15.90) is hand-assembled from 25 individual parts. The interior displays high-quality and a high attention to detail. Polar white and iridium silver are the genuine paint finishes which are available in combination with the AVANTGARDE equipment line. As the C-Class EXCLUSIVE, the 1:87-scale model comes in black or palladium silver. Here too the model includes a presentation box and printed base.
