ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ--April 23, 2014: With the final match concluded by a thrilling overtime win by Alegria, the most prominent Polo event in North America, the USPA Maserati U.S. Open Polo Championship, the first polo tournament of the "Maserati Centennial Polo Tour" organized in collaboration with La Martina, wrapped up four weeks of high-goal polo at the famed International Polo Center in Palm Beach, Florida. The championship matches included many of the world's most accomplished 10-goal players. Maserati together with La Martina entertained clients, friends and fans alike in a beautiful field side hospitality area and two exclusive boxes in the grand-stand area. For those who wanted to experience the inspired qualities of a Maserati, the entire Italian sport luxury range was on-hand in a carefully crafted display.

"Maserati was proud to play host for a second year at the USPA Maserati U.S. Open Polo Championship®," commented Peter Grady, president and chief executive officer of Maserati North America, Inc. "Polo brings together individuals with a passion for competition, style, excitement and awe-inspiring performance, an ideal match for our own values."

A comprehensive drive experience was music to the ears of the car aficionado and newcomers alike, as the Ferrari-built engines launched from the grounds. The all-new to market Ghibli mid-size sedan, the most accessible of the range, was joined by the Quattroporte GTS, the flagship with an Italian V8 producing well over five hundred horsepower. Of course the four-seat GranTurismo Convertible maintained the role of most alluring Italian on the grounds along with its Coupe sibling.

The tour continues in China, from 30 May to 2 June, where the Maserati-branded edition of the "Metropolitan Polo Classic" takes place. Following China, the "Jerudong Park Polo Trophy" in the UK, which supports the charities of HRH The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry and will take place in June in one of the oldest and most prestigious English polo clubs, the "Cirencester Park Polo Club", inaugurated in 1894. Finally, as a finishing touch to the initiative created to highlight Maserati's celebrations in the most strategic markets, an exclusive event in autumn will see the end of the tour in the United Arab Emirates.
