The Auto Channel Apologizes for TrueCar Ads - PLEASE READ

AUTO CENTRAL - May 20,2014: It has come to our attention that advertisements for TrueCar have been showing up on The Auto Channel website and on some of our YouTube videos. We apologize for this. We did not place these ads and we do not accept advertising from TrueCar. The ads are automatically placed by Google AdSense and YouTube.

We disagree with virtually all of TrueCar's claims that they offer vehicle shoppers anything radically new, different, better, or more accurate than the information that can be found on TheAutoChannel.com or any number of other automotive websites. We think the claims exceed being just advertising puffery. In fact, nearly all online new car buying tools were created by The Auto Channel years before the inception of TrueCar.

So please, if you come upon a TrueCar ad on TheAutoChannel.com, do not click on the ad. If you see a TrueCar video preceding any of our YouTube videos please SKIP THE AD.
