YOKOHAMA, Japan--June 25, 2014: Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today issued its Sustainability Report 2014.

Nissan's vision is Enriching People's Lives. The Sustainability Report details Nissan's efforts to create economic value and develop a sustainable society through business activities.

Nissan is offering increased detail about its CSR activities in the Sustainability Report 2014 for greater transparency. For the first time it includes a Materiality Matrix. Widely used by major corporations and ratings agencies, the matrix sets out how Nissan is aligning its business interests and CSR to the greater good of society.

Nissan pursues sustainability in eight key areas: Environment, Safety, Philanthropy, Quality, Value Chain, Employees, Economic Contribution, Corporate Governance and Internal Control. The report includes the Nissan CSR Scorecard, which analyses the progress made on annual objectives and describes the specific activities in each area.

"At Nissan, our commitment to sustainability is the cornerstone of our business," said Nissan President and CEO Carlos Ghosn. "It is also a driver of innovation. As we develop the cars of the future, we're working to create products that not only strengthen our business but also enhance our society, increase mobility and help to solve today's most significant safety and environmental challenges."
