HOUSTON - June 27, 2014: Brianne Corn, former SCCA Rallycross Champion, and 2011 Time Attack Champion at the venerable Pike Peaks International Hill Climb (PPHIC), is ready for another run up the mountain. This time though, her intent is to make it to make the top of the order with support from a maxed out Vorschlag-prepared, all-wheel Subaru WRX/STi, powered by Hyperfuels’ pure ethanol e98 racing fuel. Corn is the only the second woman to produce a class win at Pike Peak’s International Hill Climb where she won the Time Attack class in 2011. Last year her event was marred by a sudden rain storm during her run up the hill, but nevertheless still managed to deliver an impressive 5th place overall result.

“HYPEFUELS has supported Brianne in a number of ways over the years,” says Hyperfuels’ CEO Jess Hewitt. “If she needs something she calls, and we try our best to make it happen. It is unusual to find a racing talent who also understands how to produce consistent wins. We joke about her name, Corn; and the fact that typical corn-based ethanol has powered her performances in the past. But our new pure ethanol e98 is clearly the better fuel for high altitude racing.

We thought of her immediately when we switched our blend from traditionally corn mash-based ethanol to pure ethanol made from recycled beverage alcohols, and told her it was ‘good hooch gone bad’. The new fuel is truly bad, and consequently, we’re very confident that she’ll produce another win this year:”

The PPHIC is an historic racing event second only to the Indianapolis 500 in terms of American motorsports culture. Initially run in 1916, the race typically draws competitors and fans from across the globe, with the 2014 event marking the 91st running for the “Race to the Clouds.”
