AAA East Central to Host Teen Safe Driving Expo In Louisville, KY March 21, 2019
WHAT:
AAA East Central's Teen Safe Driving Expo helps improve the skills of young drivers on the road, while providing education in a fun way. Activities offered will include:
Distracted Driving Simulators
Mock Sobriety Tests by local law enforcement
Coroner's presentation on teen crashes using real examples
Golf Cart Driving Course with Impairment Goggles
WHY:
Due to inexperience behind the wheel, coupled with distracted driving and drinking while driving, teen drivers pose a greater risk on the road. Moreover, according to research by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, nearly two-thirds of people injured or killed in a crash involving a teen driver are people other than the teen behind the wheel.Â
