AAA East Central to Host Teen Safe Driving Expo In Louisville, KY March 21, 2019

WHAT:
AAA East Central's Teen Safe Driving Expo helps improve the skills of young drivers on the road, while providing education in a fun way. Activities offered will include:

Distracted Driving Simulators
Mock Sobriety Tests by local law enforcement
Coroner's presentation on teen crashes using real examples
Golf Cart Driving Course with Impairment Goggles

WHY:
Due to inexperience behind the wheel, coupled with distracted driving and drinking while driving, teen drivers pose a greater risk on the road. Moreover, according to research by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, nearly two-thirds of people injured or killed in a crash involving a teen driver are people other than the teen behind the wheel.

AAA East Central, Kentucky Office of Highway Safety, Kentucky State Police, Louisville Metro Police, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, and the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
