NASCAR BGN: Randy LaJoie, Indianapolis Raceway Park Preview

4 August 1999

Randy LaJoie Driver, No. 1 Bob Evans Restaurants Racing Chevrolet Monte Carlo NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division Event Preview Fact Sheet

Event: Kroger 200
Track: Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP)
Track Specs: .686-mile oval

LaJoie Looks Ahead to IRP:

Were heading back to one of my favorite tracks on the NASCAR Busch Series circuit this Friday.

We tested there several weeks ago and it went really well. Were also taking the same car we finished second with last weekend at Gateway International Raceway, near St. Louis. That car has been awesome since we debuted it at Milwaukee (Wis.) this past July.

I am going to do my best to go there, sit on the pole and win the Kroger 200. Ive won there before and with the way the last few races have gone, I dont see why we couldnt put the Bob Evans Restaurants Chevrolet in victory lane. Good pit stops and track position will be the key to victory.
