AutoNation USA Offers Consumers $250 Credit Toward Maintenance, Warranties Or Accessories

    FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 15 -- With the purchase of a car
between July 17 and August 3, AutoNation USA, the used car megastore, is
offering consumers in Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, and Texas (excluding Houston)
a $250 credit toward a prepaid maintenance program, extended warranties or
accessory purchases at AutoGear USA.
    Prepaid Maintenance Program:  The AutoNation USA prepaid maintenance
program covers a vehicle's service needs for either 30,000 or 45,000 miles.
Services performed at the state-of-the-art AutoNation USA Automotive Service
Center include an oil and oil filter change, replacement of engine coolant,
transmission coolant and spark plugs, a car wash and a 12-point mechanical
inspection.
    Extended Warranties:  The $250 credit may be applied to AutoNation USA's
two, three, four or five-year Extended Warranties.  The warranties cover parts
and mechanical components relating to the engine, air-conditioning,
transmission, brakes and electrical systems, among others.  The warranties
also cover rental car and travel expenses while the vehicle is in for repair,
and towing service is offered at more than 5,000 service centers nationwide.
In addition, the plan can be transferred to a new owner which adds true value
to the vehicle.
    Accessory Purchases:  AutoGear USA is a store within the megastore,
offering more than 2,000 automotive accessories at value prices.  The $250
credit can be used to purchase AutoGear USA merchandise that includes
everything from car care products to electronic accessories like stereos and
car alarms.
    Standard with all AutoNation USA vehicle purchases is free roadside
assistance for one year from AutoNation USA Roadside Assistance Program,
administered by Cross Country Motor Club.  The one year roadside assistance
package includes a toll-free emergency number, tire changing, jump starts,
fluid delivery, minor on-site repairs, parts replacement, emergency towing,
and lock-out assistance.  Customers also receive a 120-page AutoNation USA
Travel and Recreations Discount Book and an International Hotel Discount
Directory.  "The $250 credit program demonstrates our commitment to continued
customer service," said Lawrence Rich, president of AutoNation USA.

deliver exactly that."
