MARVAC's Detroit Camper & RV Show is Coming to NoviOKEMOS, Mich., Oct. 1 -- The Michigan Association of Recreational Vehicles and Campgrounds (MARVAC) will begin its camper and RV show season in Novi, October 8-12, 1997, at the Novi Expo Center. The twice-yearly event will feature all types and sizes of motor homes, folding campers, travel trailers, truck campers, park trailers and fifth wheels. Nearly 350 models will be on display. Free RV and campsite information will also be available. This year's show is sure to be a good time! Visit the exciting racing display featuring the Indy car of Al Unser, Jr. See a piece of camping history in an exhibit of a 1937 Hunt House Car. Take a peek at camping's progress by viewing a 41-foot Blue Bird Wanderlodge, a top-of-the-line motor home, valued at nearly $600,000. Plus, you can register to win $500 worth of gas from Clark Gasoline and a fold-down camper from Roseville RV Center. The 8th Annual Fall Detroit Camper & RV Show will be held at the Novi Expo Center (I-96 and Novi Road) October 8-12 and is open weekdays from 2-9 p.m.; Saturday, noon to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m. The cost for adult admission is $6.50 (age 13 and up), $2 for children 6-12, and kids 5 and under are admitted free.
