Chrysler Adds Cash Allowances on 1998 Minivans and Neon Models

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Oct. 10 -- Chrysler Corporation
has revised its national consumer incentives program to offer cash
allowances of $1,500 to buyers of 1998 Dodge or Plymouth Neon models and up to
$1,000 to buyers of 1998 Dodge, Plymouth and Chrysler minivans.
    Buyers of 1998 Dodge Caravan, Plymouth Voyager and Chrysler Town & Country
SX minivans qualify for $750 cash allowances.  Those who choose 1998 Dodge
Grand Caravan, Plymouth Grand Voyager, Chrysler Town & Country LX and Chrysler
Town & Country LXi models are eligible for $1,000 cash allowances.  The
minivan program is in effect October 9 through October 31, 1997.
    Buyers of 1998 Dodge or Plymouth Neon models qualify for cash allowances
of $1,500.  As an alternative, qualified buyers may choose Chrysler Financial
Corporation financing at an interest rate of 1.9 percent on loans up to 60
months. The Neon program is in effect from October 9, 1997, through January 5,
1998.
   Also effective October 9, qualified buyers of 1998 Jeep(R) Grand Cherokee
models may choose Chrysler Financial Corporation financing at an interest rate
of 4.8 percent for loans up to 48 months.  This program expires January 5,
1998.
    One other change in Chrysler's national consumer incentives program became
effective October 9.  The cash allowance available to buyers of the 1997
Chrysler Sebring Convertible is now $2,000, an increase of $1,000 from the
previously announced level.
