Lexus Dealer Named as First J.D. Power New-Car Certified RetailerMARGATE, Fla., Jan. 29 -- J.D. Power and Associates has named JM Lexus of the Ft. Lauderdale area as its first new-car Certified Retailer for customer satisfaction. Announced in August 1997, the J.D. Power Certified Retailer program identifies new-car auto retailers that meet stringent standards for customer treatment and sales satisfaction as set by the independent automotive research firm J.D. Power and Associates. "We are pleased to present our first new-car Certified Retailer award to JM Lexus, who has demonstrated that high volume and superior sales satisfaction can and do co-exist," said J.D. Power III, founder and chairman of J.D. Power and Associates. To qualify for certification, JM Lexus had to meet or exceed the leading make's average score on the 1997 J.D. Power and Associates Sales Satisfaction survey. Then JM Lexus new-car buyers were surveyed to make sure the dealership currently is providing the highest industry levels of satisfaction. Throughout the year, JM Lexus will be monitored by J.D. Power and Associates to ensure that the dealership maintains its high level of customer satisfaction. "We're thrilled to receive the certification from J.D. Power and Associates, and we're even more thrilled to hear what our customers said about us during the survey process," conveyed David Mullen, JM Lexus vice president and general manager. "This recognition is a testament that the Lexus way works. We've adopted the Lexus philosophy that the customer is our guest, and we're committed to keeping our standards high." SOURCE Lexus
