ITT Automotive Praises Chrysler Do the Buckle(TM) Campaign; Lends Support With Anti-Lock Braking Safety Information

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 8 -- ITT Automotive today praised
Chrysler's "Do the Buckle" campaign to save lives through increased
seat belt use.
"We applaud Chrysler for its program on behalf of increased seat belt use.
It aligns perfectly with ITT Automotive's own 'Drive Safer America!' consumer
safety initiative," said Bill Kozyra, vice president, Brake and Chassis
Systems, North America, ITT Automotive. "ITT Automotive shares Chrysler's
concern for saving lives and is pleased to support Chrysler's consumer safety
initiative with educational materials and demonstrations on the benefits of
four-wheel anti-lock braking systems.
"Engineers from ITT Automotive and Chrysler have worked as partners on
safety technologies such as the four-wheel ABS braking systems and the wiper
systems used in minivans that will tour the country for 'Do the Buckle.' As
Chrysler's leading supplier of brake systems, we hope to work side-by-side
with them to save lives and protect families through increased seat belt use
and safer driving techniques," Kozyra said.
In 1997, ITT Automotive partnered with Indy Car driver and automotive
expert Lyn St. James to launch its "Drive Safer America!" campaign as a
national consumer awareness initiative. It is designed to help drivers better
understand techniques and technologies for safer driving year round, including
the effective use of four-wheel anti-lock brakes.
As part of its "Drive Safer America!" campaign, ITT Automotive has made a
