Subaru of America Proudly Supports National Car Care Month - October 1998CHERRY HILL, N.J., Sept. 25 -- In support of National Car Care Month, Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) encourages its dealers to host free car care clinics for Subaru owners. Clinics will be held through the end of the year and are designed to promote vehicle safety through preventive maintenance. Subaru owners are invited to bring in their vehicles for a free, no obligation, professional diagnostic inspection. This includes a check-up of all major operating systems with a written report of the vehicle's condition. The Car Care Council, a non-profit organization created over 25 years ago, promotes National Car Care Month and educates motorists about the benefits of proper vehicle maintenance. "Subaru proudly supports the Car Care Council's effort to educate consumers on taking care of their vehicles. The Subaru clinics will not only help in preserving the life of Subaru vehicles, it will also be a great opportunity for Subaru owners to prepare their cars for the winter -- no matter what the weather," said Ginny Newkirk, Fixed Operations Advertising & Communications Manager. Subaru owners should contact their local Subaru dealers for available clinic dates and times. Subaru of America, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. of Japan. Headquartered near Philadelphia, the company markets and distributes Subaru vehicles, parts and accessories through a network of nearly 610 franchised dealers across the United States.
