Daewoo Customers Can "Test-Drive" a New Car for up to Three Days; America's Newest Car Company Introduces a New "Sign- and-Go" Test-Drive Program

COMPTON, Calif.--Nov. 2, 1998--Experts recommend that anyone considering the purchase of a new car test-drive it thoroughly before buying. For most customers, that means driving just a few miles with the salesperson as a passenger.
Daewoo, which currently operates 15 company-owned and -operated retail stores in the United States, is changing that. The company now offers customers the opportunity to test-drive a new Lanos, Nubira or Leganza for up to three days.
"Customers with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record can arrange for a test drive at their local Daewoo retail store," said William D. Tucker, vice president of marketing and customer relations. "They simply fill out the test-drive form, show their driver's license and proof of insurance, and off they go.
"We are aware of the reputation of Korean cars in the U.S. By allowing potential customers to spend more time driving Daewoo cars in all types of conditions -- from city streets to highways -- they can discover the quality that is designed in every Daewoo vehicle," he added.
To arrange a test drive, contact a local Daewoo retail store or local Daewoo Campus Advisor. Customers can also reach Daewoo on its new Web site, www.daewoous.com.
Daewoo Motor America is the U.S. automobile-marketing arm of Daewoo Group.
