Nationwide Insurance Ready to Help Drivers Verify Insurance Coverage
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 9 -- Nationwide Insurance, Ohio's
largest auto insurer, is ready to help vehicle owners comply with Ohio's
financial responsibility law.
The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles is making random mailings to drivers
requesting proof of insurance or financial responsibility. Failure to respond
or those unable to prove coverage face immediate suspension of their drivers'
licenses.
"Nationwide values the need to keep uninsured motorists off the road and
supports enforcement of this law," said Jack Wood, state officer for
Nationwide's Ohio operations. "Our Nationwide agents are ready to help drivers
avoid the risk of being without insurance coverage," said Wood.
Nationwide offers competitively priced auto insurance for all segments of
the driving public.
"Now that the notices are going out, we put our agents on alert to service
the needs of vehicle owners across the state," said Wood. "While many drivers
are in compliance with the law, drivers shop around for competitive prices and
that's where we can help."
Nationwide, headquartered in Columbus, has agents throughout the state and
also can provide information through its toll-free number, 800-854-6845.
