Recently Launched Auction Site, Delivers Infamous Saab to Highest Bidder, Gives Proceeds to Charity IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 17 -- Autobytel.com , the leading international automotive e-commerce provider, today delivered one of the first cars sold on its recently launched national consumer auction site. The 1996 Black 900SE Convertible, which starred in the popular sitcom "Seinfeld," hit the auction block when Autobytel.com kicked off its comprehensive auction last month. All net proceeds from the sale of the Saab went to Citymeals-On-Wheels, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food and assistance to the nation's homebound and elderly. The Saab, which was featured in numerous episodes of "Seinfeld," will now share the spotlight with Julie Lucas, a very delighted Barrington, IL woman. The proud new owner of this 2,000-pound piece of television history won the car after placing the highest bid on the Autobytel.com Auction site just two weeks after it debuted. Julie Lucas, the new owner of the infamous Saab said "My dream car has always been a black convertible Saab so when I saw the car being auctioned on the Autobytel.com website I placed several bids and was delighted to learn I won. The fact that the Saab was used on 'Seinfeld' made the whole experience that much more fun." The Autobytel.com Auction has been enthusiastically received by consumers. In its first nineteen days alone, the auction listed 3,000 cars and received 12,000 bids.
